MVP Ricky

Ricky Kaka has made an impressive return to Madrid's side helping them win their last match 8-0. Ricky was the scorer of 3 of the eight goals and also gave out an assist against Millionarios. This has caught Mou's eye since neither Ozil or Modric have been performing at their best maybe its time to give Kaka a shot at the starting spot. He has pace, goal, and every quality that can make or break a game. Kaka was given the MVP trophy that night as well as being made the captain of the team on the night. We will have to wait and see if Mou decides to give him the start this weekend when they play Deportivo.

Madrid Win with Little Flair

The game that got postponed on Sunday due to a sabotage of the stadiums lights was played Monday night instead. Madrid where able to cruse to an easy win against the Rayo side that played to the best of their abilities they were unlucky to give away a penalty to Ronaldo when they were only down 1-0 which helped seal their fate after Ronaldo Converted from the spot and made it 2-0 By this point the game was over. Madrid won thanks to Benzemes early goal and Ronaldo's late penalty. But questions still remain as to whether these is the right level Madrid should be playing at?

Madrid VS. Rayo Rescheduled

Madrid's game has been rescheduled due to the the fact that somebody cut the lights before the start of the match in order for it to be postponed. The game will be played tomorrow night in Rayo's stadium. The Madrid players did not seem to happy with the decision seeing as they have a very tight schedule in which they will be playing many games in a very short period. The surprise was that Sergio Ramos was named as a starter before the match was postponed. Considering Ramos sat out the all important City game last week!

Dramatic End

Madrid began the game against City very well they dominated the entire first half. Shot after shot the Madrid players had on goal yet they were not able to get anything out of it due to some great goal keeping by Joe Hart. It was in the second half that goals began to pour in. First it was to come from the substitute Dzeko of City who was able to make it 1-0 for the visitors. Following the goal Mou subbed both Benzema and Modric out on to the field. With this Marcelo was able to level the score. But in the 86th minute City looked to win the game after making it 2-1 with a well taken free kick. But it was not to be when Benzema equalized one minute later. The games was tied 2-2, and then came Ronaldo in the last minute of the game he was able to beat Hart down low for the third of the game and take a 3 points from that game!

Two Most Expensive Teams

Madrid and City not only are the current champions of their respective countries but they also boast the two most expensive teams in world football. City has highly rated talents Silva, Ballotelli, Tevez, Dzeko, Toure, Hart, and many others. While Madrid has the likes of Ronaldo, Ramos, Cassillas, Pepe, Alonso, Benzema, Modric, Ozil, among others. Both teams are each valued at more than 1 billion dollars each.

Madrid Debut in CL

Tomorrow night Madrid will take on Manchester City on what it seems like will be one of the biggest games of the season for both teams. The thing is that there is a lot more riding on this game for Madrid than there is for City. This is because of Madrid's bad start in La Liga having already dropped 8 points. Some could say its a must win for Madrid in order for them to be able to get off to a good start in the CL and also get back into a winning momentum for the weekends clash in La Liga!

Top Paid Players in the World

The highest paid players in the world are surprisingly not Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, because they are considered the worlds best by many. This is a clear indication that they both need new contracts since there current ones are lacking in compassion to their productivity on the field!

Madrid In the Champions League

Madrid Stumble Further Away from Barcelona

Real Madrid were immediately surprised in the first minute of the game by a very well taken corner. Madrid failed to clear properly and they payed the price by going down 1-0 in the first minute of the game. Madrid was forced to go on the offensive the rest of them game. This was bad because the game started getting physical with a lot of nasty tackles that were not in Madrid's favor. In the second half Benzeme and Modric came on to try and help the team were it was lacking, but it was to no avail. Ronaldo had a very good appeal for a penalty but the ref was not having it. With this Madrid now trail Barcelona by 8 points in only 4 matches played.

After the Granada game in which Ronaldo scored two goals and later limped off the the field in the 70 minute  with an injury. After the game he was questioned on why he did not celebrate either of his goals and he stated that he was not happy at the club. He has now gone into detail and said that he is not looking for more money but instead looking for more respect and backing for awards from the Madrid office and the dressing room. Madrid is set to offer him a more improved contract after he sated he was not happy at the club and are planning to tie him down for life.

Madrid's Bad Start

Madrid have only been able to claim 4 out of 9 disputed La Liga points which is one of Madrid's worst start in a few years. While there greatest rivals to the title have taken 9 out of 9 points. Madrid tied to Valencia on the opening day of the season and later lost to Getafe and finally took a well deserved victory last Sunday to Granada thanks to a brace from CR7 and a single from Higuian. Madrid will have to work hard if they want to retain their La Liga crown this season.

Madrid Take Down Baca in the Spanish Supercopa

Real Madrid came form behind to beat Barca 2-1 in their home stadium by a 4-4 aggregate on away goals. Goals from Ronaldo and Higuian proved to be enough for Madrid to overcome there greatest rivals at home. Madrid completely dominated the game in the first half they lost some dominance when Barca had Adriano sent off for a last stitch tackle on Ronaldo who was gonna have a one on one with Valdez. The second half was a lot closer despite the man down, but it was Madrid's day as they ended up raising the trophy at the end of the night!

Modric Joins Madrid

After a long awaited transfer of the Croatian international Luka Modric has finally gotten his wish and joined the reigning Spanish Champions. His long awaited transfer to Real Madrid finally came to a close for 33 million Euros. He had not trained with Spurs all summer ever since the end of the Euro Cup in which Croatia ended up losing in the first round. There is a lot of hype around his transfer, because he is seen as direct competition to the German Ozil who has had little to know opposition in the last few years for the teams number 10 role. Modric will wear the number 19 on his back this season as it is one of the only numbers left in the squad.
